The Moon Falls: read each stage

The instruction changes as the disaster escalates. Use the current prompt to choose your position, and keep watching when new hazards appear.

The decision that matters

When tides rise, the objective changes from GET SOMEWHERE SAFE to GET SOMEWHERE HIGH. Gain elevation instead of remaining in a flooded street. Later earthquakes and burning fragments mean height alone cannot guarantee survival.

Round details below are based on AllThingsHow’s October 20, 2026 walkthrough. We have not playtested them.

The reported Moon Falls sequence

The October 20 walkthrough describes the question “What if the Moon fell toward Earth?” as The Moon Falls on Suburban Neighborhood. Readouts below describe that observed round.

StageHUD / conditionWhat to do
Moon approachesExample distance: 310,000 kmFollow GET SOMEWHERE SAFE. This is the approaching-event stage.
Tides riseTide height: +20 meters, rising past +50GET SOMEWHERE HIGH replaces the initial instruction. Flooding makes low ground less useful.
Ground splitsEARTHQUAKES ARE STARTINGThe high instruction continues in the reported sequence. Water remains a hazard as the ground changes.
Moon breaks apartTHE MOON IS CRACKING APARTBurning debris falls while the previous hazards persist. Reassess your position.
Round finishesEnd timer reaches zeroCheck the survivor and casualty lists. A spectated round is labeled separately.

If you are in the street when tides rise

  1. Read the changed yellow objective. The water phase calls for height, so staying inside a low shelter can leave you below the rising tide.
  2. Use accessible elevation. The guide describes stairs in two-story houses, vehicle roofs and bus shelters as elevated spots in the reported map. Their usefulness depends on the current water level.
  3. Continue watching the scenario. Earthquakes affect the ground and burning fragments arrive from above. A spot that helped at one stage can face another hazard later.

These are reported map observations, not an optimal route tested by this site. A two-story roof, vehicle or shelter is not promised to remain above every tide level or protect you from debris.

For a round you have not entered yet, start with the lobby pad and 30-second warm-up. A moving car can throw off passengers; driving is not a substitute for the current objective.

Another scenario reads differently

In the same walkthrough, Earth Enters a Mega Storm on Thrill Park tracks wind reaching 150 km/h and later mentions tornadoes roping out. That is a different changing readout, rather than the Moon Falls tide sequence.

The report does not establish an exact storm safe spot or a complete storm route. Use the active scenario’s prompt; do not apply one event’s position rule to every disaster.
